Here are this week’s four questions. (Sponsored by Mrs Fields)
#1. What brand of frozen dinners do you think are the best and why?
- We don’t eat many frozen dinners, but I do like Amy’s Organic burritos. They are quick and delicious and HEALTHY!
#2. What is your favorite frozen waffle or breakfast food?
-I’m an Eggo whole wheat Blueberry girl … that reminds me, we need those!
#3. Frozen appetizers. Which one is your favorite?
ooh, good question! Sometimes we eat a bunch of these frozen appetizers for dinner! I love the tequila lime chicken wings from Sam’s and the potstickers from Schwans. SOOO tasty!
#4. Share a recipe or meal made from at least one frozen food.
Simple goulash
I love this recipe because it can be used tweaked to your tastes and can be stretched by adding more pasta
1 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 bag frozen peas
1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
pasta (I use penne or shells so it’s easy to eat)
Prepare pasta according to box instructions.
Meanwhile, brown ground beef or turkey. I usually add some onion flakes and garlic powder to my ground beef regardless of what I’m making with it. Drain fat if needed.
Add soup, undiluted. Add peas (as much as you want – I always add a LOT) and then mix with pasta.
Serve with crusty bread.
This week’s challenge was to post a photo of your freezer, or an appliance you’d love to have. well, I’ve got two …
First is the Aero grow from Bed Bath and Beyond …
The next one is a bread machine from Linens & things … especially with the cost of food going up.

[...] Jess shared a recipe for Simple Goulash and a picture of a bread machine she’d like to have for this week’s challenge. She likes Sams tequila lime chicken wings and Schwans potstickers. I couldn’t leave a comment for Jess – Jess, your recipe made me think of a quick stroganoff we have sometimes but no peas. [...]
